The Kappa League Leadership Development Institute commonly referred to as the Silver Spring “Kappa League”, provides leadership and positive male role-modeling to young men grades 6th -12th. Kappa League is an organization that embodies all the aspects of leadership development and self-motivation for career achievement. Through leadership-oriented activities, the Kappa League officers and membership perform many projects that will expose them to learning how to handle many of life’s challenges, executing activities that lead to effective fundraising, reporting ideas, and stimulating good leadership characteristics designed to raise their levels of aspiration.
The primary focus of Kappa League revolves around seven (7) phases:
1- Self-identity/Purpose
2- Training
3- Competition
4- Social
5- Health Education
6- Economic Empowerment and Education
7- College and Careers
